A long time ago the native americans had used channel island fox fur to make things like arrow quivers, blankets, capes and even head dressing. Some arrow quivers and blankets from the Channel Island Fox fur and the native americans are still around. The blankets made from that fur happend to have been very warm. So in the winter they were nice and toasty.
